Saving our Downtown Library and Bell Rock Mansion (Art Gallery)

Based on Surveys undertaken by Friendly to Seniors and CARP (The Northern Ontario Chapter of the Canadian Association of Retired Persons) most want to "save" the present downtown library on McKenzie Street and the Bell Rock Mansion (Art Gallery).  They are considered to be historic sites (indeed the Mansion is) and valuable to the community as they exist with possible renovations which would be far less expensive and environmentally friendly than building new.  The location suggested should be left as parking for the Arena and Sudbury Theatre Centre.   Pictures of both facilities below:

News of Interest during the current Pandemic to residents of Northern Ontario.  In conjunction with CARP Sudbury (The Northern Ontario Chapter of the Canadian Association of Retired Persons) a number of Zoom interviews have been conducted by Hugh Kruzel of CARP and John Lindsay also of CARP and Friendly to Seniors with individuals of interest.  They are available below for viewing and please feel free to share and comment if you wish to friendlytoseniors.sudbury@gmail.com
